Gordon Caplan was arrested by the FBI on March 12 this year and later indicted for his role in the college admissions bribery scandal that included the likes of actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman.

Caplan was one of 50 parents implicated in “Operation Varsity Blues” and sentenced to one month in prison last month after he paid $75,000 to improve his daughter’s score on a college admissions exam.

Following his stint behind bars, Caplan will be under a year of supervised release and he was fined $50,000. He will also complete 250 hours of community service as part of his sentenced during his period of supervised release.

“After the court issues a written judgment, defendant will lose the right to appeal or otherwise challenge his conviction and sentence, regardless of whether he later changes his mind or finds new information that would have led him not to agree to give up these rights in the first place,” Caplan’s plea agreement said.

After pleading guilty to felony conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud, Caplan was disbarred.
